[Wsssc] Student Services Bill Watch March 1

WSSSC: here is the Student Services Bill Watch for March 1. Undocumented emergency aid for undocumented students (HB 1368) was signed into law by Governor Inslee. WSAC is working on rules for allocating/using the funds. Funds must be spent by June 30. Extending the SSEH pilot program (HB 1166) passed the House and is now in the Senate. We continue to watch Senate Bill 5194 closely-it has some elements we support and some  that remain problematic. It contains a version of the pilot program for implementing counseling best practices, which is encouraging because the stand-alone bill for this purpose (HB 1468) is currently stalled in the House.
