Dear IC and WSSSC Colleagues,

It is with great excitement that I share the following staffing updates from the Education Division...

*The ABAWD (Able Bodied Adults with Dependents) program had ended abruptly due to a recent federal decision, so Kathi Medcalf (staff lead for ABAWD) has transitioned to serving in the BFET program administrator role (previously held by Jennifer Dellinger).  Thank you Joe, Jennifer, and Kathi for your leadership through these changes!

*On June 1, Monica Olsson will be joining the SBCTC as the newly envisioned Accessibility Policy Associate position (formerly a program administrator position held by Jess Thompson). Monica currently serves as the Manager of Access Services at Tacoma Community College and is a leader with the Disability Support Services Council (DSSC). Please join me in welcoming Monica!

*Ashley Montenegro Ramirez will be joining the Student Success Center under Kristi Wellington-Baker's leadership as the new administrative assistant (replacement for Lexi Swanson). Ashley begins April 26. Please join me in welcoming Ashley!

*Later this week, we will begin recruitment for the I-BEST policy associate position (formerly held by Will Durden). Please encourage applicants to apply!
