Hoping this email finds you both healthy and safe.

Our office has recently revised the Model Title IX Student and Employee Procedures to include language that authorizes colleges to contract with an ALJ or some other vendor (e.g., Grand River Solutions) to serve as presiding officers and/or decision makers during disciplinary proceedings.  I believe that I circulated similar language in November 2020 that authorized ALJ's to serve as presiding officers in student conduct proceedings.  The new language is much more expansive in that it provides authority for an ALJ or other vendor to replace the student conduct committee or the chair of the committee or both.  Copies of redlined copies of the revised procedures are attached.  I was hoping that you could circulate these versions to members of your respective commissions.
