State Board members, chancellors and presidents:

Below are updated enrollment projections based on final Winter quarter enrollments.

*        System Budget Enrollments: The 2015-17 state operating budget set a combined CTC budget enrollment of 151,485 full-time equivalent students (FTES).  This includes 139,927 FTES for adults and 11,558 FTES for Running Start.  Based on enrollment counts through Winter quarter, our system is expected to end the year at 151,350 state and Running Start FTES, close to the combined appropriation level.

*        Winter Enrollments.  In Winter 2017, colleges enrolled 158,399 FTES in all fund sources, down 1 percent (-2,144 FTES) from Winter 2016.

o   State supported enrollments declined 3 percent (-3,973 FTES) from Winter 2016 and are projected to end the year at 131,128 annual FTES.

o   Running Start enrollments grew 10 percent (+1,873 FTES) from Winter 2016 and are projected to end the year at 20,222 annual FTES.
Enrollments were also up for:
o   Apprenticeship (up 6 percent)
o   Applied Baccalaureate (up 39 percent)
o   I-BEST (up 7 percent)
o   eLearning (up 5 percent)
Enrollments were down for:
o   Basic Education for Adults (down 8 percent)
o   International students (All Funds down 3 percent)
o   WorkFirst (down 12 percent)
o   Worker Retraining (down 3 percent)
