[Wactclc-primo] ISBN deep link for OCLC

Lesley and all C1 institutions,

Here's a pattern that should work as a deep link ISBN search from WorldCat Discovery to Primo, if you're configuring your OCLC account to pass users from WorldCat to your online catalog (see https://www.oclc.org/support/services/discovery/documentation/deeplinks.en.html ):

http://pierce-primo.hosted.exlibrisgroup.com/primo_library/libweb/action/dlSearch.do?institution=pierce&search_scope=EVERYTHING&vid=PIERCE&query=any,contains,9781432959173

You'll just need to change the institution-specific parameters to match your own Primo instance. And, of course, leave off the specific ISBN # shown in the example.

And though you can more properly query 'isbn' instead of 'any' in the Primo parameters... for best results I would use 'any', just to cover all bases. It will result in the very occasional mismatch, but the results will be more successful overall.

And, of course, once we switch the C1's to the new Primo UI, these URLs would need to be updated.
