In April, 2020, in consequence of the COVID-19 pivot to online instruction, SBCTC funded a short-term subsidy for exam proctoring services through Honorlock. About half the colleges have been using this agreement.

As of December 31, 2020, SBCTC's emergency subsidy for Honorlock exam proctoring services is expiring.

Earlier this fall, SBCTC issued an RFP for system-wide contracts for online proctoring services. The result of that RFP was the selection of three vendors: Examity, Proctorio, and Honorlock. Pending the completion of negotiations, contracts allowing colleges to purchase these services directly from those suppliers should be in place by January. These contracts are designed to be used by colleges without requiring a separate procurement process.

This information has been sent to IC, WEC, CBS, ATC, LLC, ELC, and BLC.

If you have questions about the current, expiring Honorlock agreement, feel free to contact Steve Gance<mailto:sgance at sbctc.edu> at SBCTC or Estrelita Young<mailto:eyoung at honorlock.com> at Honorlock for details.
