[LIBRARYDIR] How do you select Magazines

Hi Cheyenne,

As other people have mentioned, we don't have a huge collection at SPSCC, nor is our small collection heavily used.

However, last year we decided to have students vote on some ideas as well as add their own. We also had the librarians round out the diversity of offerings afterwards. We look it the magazines as more community-building than academic.

Hello all,
I am curious how you curate your Magazine/Journal collections and what you base your decisions on for selecting or deselecting. There hasn't been a real firm guideline here at RTC and, although we do circulate our magazines, they aren't a real hot item.
Do you have a policy or guideline that you could share that shows how you manage your magazine selections?
Anything would help
