WSL offering "writing effective emails" training for library staff

Writing effective emails training is designed to do the following:

*         Build communication skills in email formats to create clarity

*         Understand the utilize the general and courteous "rules of engagement" when composing or replying to emails

*         Perform an audience analysis prior to writing

*         Compose emails that clearly communicate desired action (e.g. approval, commitment, providing information, etc.)

*         Recognize and stop inappropriate, emotional or harmful email thread

*         Essential proofreading skills for tone, punctuation, and grammar

These classes will be offered at four locations through the month of February and include identical morning and afternoon sessions.
