[LIBRARYDIR] policies for laptop (or media equipment) checkout

Jennifer,

Attached are a number of documents that describe the processes in place to support the circulating laptop collections at CCS.

We have an outrageous overdue fine associated with late laptop returns because we found that this amount is the most effective for deterring overdues.  Demand for laptops often exceeds supplies so we use the fee as a way to encourage timely return of laptops so others have the opportunity to check them out.

Does your library check out laptops to students?  I'm interested in policies and procedures that go along with longer-term circulation (a quarter or multiple days) not for in-library use.  As I said at LLC, if you'll send me your policies and procedures around such checkouts I will gather them and make them available to all of us.

What I'm looking for are things like agreements the students must sign, replacement/repair policies, etc.
