[LIBRARYDIR] Tutoring Centers, Writing Centers, Math Labs, Speech Labs

Pierce College Library houses the Writing Center (which reports to me.) The Tutoring Center also reports to me but is in a different location. Tutoring groups use the library study rooms/tables, and they are visibly identified as tutors (with nametags, vests, and tabletop signs.). The college has talked about developing a 'learning commons' as part of our next building, but that is a ways away.

Good morning all,

I've been asked to look at how Skagit manages its various tutoring resources. I was wondering how many of the library administrators have some kind of tutoring activity in their facility and/or have some responsibility for these activities. These could include any type of tutoring support in any form, even online or outside the library. Do any of you claim to house a "learning commons"?

Thanks,
Mindy
