Hello,
Just checking in to see if anyone else has received new information from their HR no longer allowing the use of Non-permanent Hourly to solve the 1050 issue? I was notified on Friday that the term "sporadic in nature" which we are looking at as the reason to be able to use NPH is being misinterpreted and we are not able to use NPH to maintain employment for our employees - we have to put them on as permanent employees if we want to maintain them. Sporadic in nature is meant to be used as the hours changing weekly and weeks not worked at all. So despite schedules changing quarter to quarter and no work during breaks these positions do not qualify for NPH.
Has this happened to anyone else?
