Lizz -- Thanks so much for raising this critical question. I think revising SLOs is only one way to address equity and that re-imagining learning activities (and grading) can achieve a similar end (and, of course, these could go hand-in-hand ?).

Here's one example from our approach: We plan to cover intersectionality within these two SLOs:

  *   3. Explore individual strengths, values, and interests to create an educational plan based on career path
  *   4. Collaborate with peers and instructor(s) to develop awareness and skills necessary for success in culturally diverse environments

I'd also appreciate insights from other schools and hope we can talk more about this at the June 11 state-wide community of practice!
