Lizz -- Thanks so much for raising this critical question. I think revising SLOs is only one way to address equity and that re-imagining learning activities (and grading) can achieve a similar end (and, of course, these could go hand-in-hand ?).<br>
<br>
Here's one example from our approach: We plan to cover intersectionality within these two SLOs:<br>
<br>
* 3. Explore individual strengths, values, and interests to create an educational plan based on career path<br>
* 4. Collaborate with peers and instructor(s) to develop awareness and skills necessary for success in culturally diverse environments<br>
<br>
I'd also appreciate insights from other schools and hope we can talk more about this at the June 11 state-wide community of practice!<br>
