[DEOC] Resource recommendation for anti-racism leadership prof dev

Hey hey DEO fam!

Writing to share a resource recommendation for you all. I have just contracted with Zerandrian Morris of the Ignant Intellectual Group to support leadership training and general anti-racist professional development for Bellevue College. I know many of us are considering options for what we might do in this area so I thought this resource might be useful to others.

The topic areas will cover:

  *   Racial Equity Core Concepts (Refresher)
  *   Upstream/Systems-Change Racial Equity Strategies & The Limitations of Down-Stream/Systems Focused Approaches
  *   My Role as a Leader in Shifting Bellevue Towards Anti-Racism & What Commitments Can our Leadership Team Make

We’ve collaborated to prioritize a 3-part workshop series for the President, all Cabinet members, and all Deans, and hosting Zerandrian for two Core Concepts workshops in October for our all-campus DEI PD day.
