[ctcLinkfinaidsupport] IPEDS Categories for FA Item Types

Hello,

This message is intended for those who submit or authorize ctcLink Item Types.

The final Financial Aid snapshot for the 2024 aid year for the SBCTC Data Warehouse will occur on October 17th. This data will be used for the IPEDS Financial Aid Survey. Please make sure that you have assigned an IPEDS Category to all Item Types.

  *   Any Item Types not associated with an IPEDS Category will be excluded from IPEDS reporting, however please select "NOT_REP" instead of leaving the IPEDS Category blank.
  *   The ctcLink query QCS_FA_IPEDS_KEYWORD_REV was developed to assist with your review of IPEDS Category assignments.
  *   If you have questions or need guidance on what IPEDS Category to select, please refer to the IPEDS Categories for Financial Aid Reporting<https://www.sbctc.edu/colleges-staff/collegeaccess/resources/data-services/ipeds-fa-reporting-categories.pdf> document.
  *   To update or change the IPEDS Category on an existing Item Type, please submit a Solar Winds Service Desk Ticket to SF Support. Use the Request type of ctcLink Support > Student Financials > SF: Item Types. In the subject field, enter "Edit to existing Item Type".
