[ctcLinkfinaidsupport] Recent Communications that went to Email Send Error

Good afternoon!

There was a re-verification process that your campus IT had to complete by a certain date and colleges that did not complete the process ran into an issue where all their communications went to Email Send Error. This specific error can happen for different reasons but if your communications have this error between 04/02/2021 to today, failure to complete the re-verification process is most likely the culprit. We've heard that all colleges have finished re-verifying now so colleges that have the Email Send Error will need to reset the communications to be picked up on their next Comm Gen process.

To see if your college is one of the colleges where re-verification was not completed in time and your communications were affected, please run the following query:

CTC_FA_INCOMP_COMM_STDNT_LIST

After running the query to Excel, if you filter by Outcome Reason: Email Send Error you will be able to see the communications that may need to be reset. You can further filter by Communication Date. The earliest reported date for this issue is 04/02/2021. If you see Email Send Errors earlier than that, please review and reset as needed.

The process to reset communications can be found in the ctcLink Reference Center. Please make sure to put your institution and initials in your Run Control ID name so no users have the same Run Control ID name.
