[ctcLinkfinaidsupport] New query for WCG and Follow-up on Elimination of 125% Max Timeframe for State Aid

Good afternoon!

First off, I wanted to let you know that there is a new query in production to find students whose WCG award amount is greater than their Tuition & Fees.

QCS_FA_AWARD_EXCEEDS_TUITFEES
Prompts by institution, aid year, term, and item type.
Finds students whose have the selected item type and their award amount exceeds total tuition & fees for the prompted quarter.
Note: Query is set up to only calculate ACCOUNT_TYPE_SF labeled 'TUT' or 'FEE'

Secondly, attached are the presentations that were given last Tuesday about the Elimination of 125% State Aid Maximum Timeframe. Below is the link to the recording as well as the link to the QRG

Some institutions track Federal Maximum Timeframe outside of the system. Those institutions will not need to use the process because they will not have students in MAXT status and so their aid will disburse with no issue.

Finally, I would like to follow-up on items that were mentioned on Tuesday

1) QCS_FA_SAP_MAXT_STATE_AID_ELIG has been updated so the report will only list students who have an Accepted Amount not equal to Disbursed Amount. Previously, the report had the criteria of Accepted Amount greater than zero which resulted in students remaining on the list even though their aid had already disbursed.

2) Since the SAP Severity level is different for all colleges, it is important to review the SAP screen to determine whether the MAXT should be overriden. Below is an example of when you would not want to override SAP. The student's SAP status is ultimately MAXT but they are also Not Meets for other reasons.

3) There was mention about a need for a CBS LEU checklist. We weren't sure how many colleges were interested in another checklist to manage so we have not moved forward with creating a process at this time.
