[BFET] [UCE] FW: New BFET Award Codes and FAPCs (Current System)

Good Morning BFET Team,

Thank you for your patience as the SBCTC worked to develop global codes for the new support service categories for BFET.

The new FAPC's are:
Childcare - OXG
Personal Hygiene - OXH

The below information and processes were sent to the Financial Aid Directors and the global FAPCs should now be available for you to use. But first, please check with your Financial Aid office to ensure they have received the information and are ready to move forward on the process of awarding.

Subject: New BFET Award Codes and FAPCs (Current System)

DSHS has added 2 new BFET categories.  Because of this, 2 new system-wide award codes and corresponding FAPCs have been designated for these new BFET categories.  The new award codes, FAPCs, and titles are below.

Both FAPCs have been implemented at all colleges with standard processing information but no budget information or fee class exclusions/inclusions.  You will need to review the entries with your Business Office and make any appropriate changes for your college.

NOTE:  these FAPCs were implemented with an Award Disbursement Indicator of 1 (charge or check).  We have since learned that the ADI should be 2 (charge only).  Please change the ADI from 1 to 2  when reviewing these entries with your Business Office.

To aid with eventual conversion to the PeopleSoft system, please make sure to enter the titles exactly as listed above when establishing the new award codes in FAM.

You will need to establish the XG and XH award codes in FAM.  Follow the steps listed below to add these award codes.

1.        Go to Application Setup, New Year, then Awards.

2.        Click on the Insert Icon.

3.        Type in the appropriate data.  When done, click the Save & Add More button.

4.        Enter the appropriate data for the other award code.  When done, click the Save & Go Back button.
