Bit late to the party, but here’s Highline’s project charter.

Hola!

I’m attaching our Accessibility Advisory Committee charter. After looking at Shoreline’s, I realized there are several key aspects we are operating on but do not appear on our charter, so I’m including the information below:

1. RTC’s AAC is sponsored by the CIO. The committee creation was in response to Policy 188.
2. There are no membership term limits and committee membership encompasses a variety of stakeholders by virtue of their position responsibilities.
3. Membership also reflects administration, faculty, students, and classified personnel.
4. Members are expected to fully participate and become active Accessibility Advocates among the larger college community.
5. Meetings occur on a monthly basis
6. We divided our Annual Plan workload into working groups:
• Web accessibility
• Instructional materials accessibility
• Document accessibility
• Electronic media accessibility
• Software, hardware, and systems accessibility
• Procurement
7. Working groups are led by AAC members but can be composed of non-AAC members at any given point. Working groups meet on an as-needed basis.
8. The IT Accessibility Coordinator is the AAC Chair and works closely with the Disability Resources Director and CIO to keep the committee on track
9. Anyone can suggest agenda items and meetings are open to the campus community.
10. Agendas & minutes are posted on our college intranet and available to anyone on campus.
11. Decisions are made by consensus.

Gracias,

Agnes Figueroa

Hi all,

Does anyone have a charter with bylaws and such that you've developed for your accessibility workgroups? If so, would you mind sharing with the group and sending along to Tim at Bates (ttrussler at bates.ctc.edu<mailto:ttrussler at bates.ctc.edu>)?

Thanks,
Jess
