[ATcoord] Access360 Spring Convening

Hello,


As you may or may not know, 9 of the colleges are participating in Access360. Access360 offers a yearlong mentorship opportunity for cross-functional campus teams as they implement accessibility policies on a broad scale. Participating colleges serve as case-studies for SBCTC staff to learn what areas are in need of greater support from the State Board. We have about 10 extra seats open for our Spring Convening if any groups from non-participating schools would like to attend. This is a great chance to learn about what other colleges are doing to implement policies around accessible technology. We recommend attending with at least one other person from your campus accessibility workgroup in order to make the best use of workgroup time. This would also be a good event for those interested in participating in Access360 in the future.


The Spring Convening will be held May 3 - May 4 at Green River Kent Station.

Day 1 will include an optional morning session for those new to this work who may benefit from some background information. A draft agenda is available:

May 3:

  *   9:00 - 12:00 -- Policy overview/catch up (OPTIONAL)
  *   12:00 - 1:00 -- Lunch on your own
  *   1:00 - 2:00 -- Welcome/updates
  *   2:00 - 4:30 -- Focus on affinity groups
  *   4:30 - 5:00 -- Report back

May 4:

  *   9:00 - 10:15 -- College reports
  *   10:15 - 11:30 -- Workgroup activity
  *   11:30 - 12:00 -- Report back
  *   12:00 - 1:00 -- Lunch
  *   1:15 - 2:30 -- College reports
  *   2:30 - 3:30 -- Workgroup activity
  *   3:30 - 4:00 -- Wrap up/Next Steps
