Good morning,

DSHS has stopped the mass modification of the ABAWD letters that would have gone out this weekend. A temporary 90-day injunction of implementation of the new ABAWD rules appears to have been granted based on a lawsuit brought by 19 states.

This injunction does not apply to King County so ABAWDs are not exempt in this county. Please know DSHS is working to find a way to exempt these individuals as well.

We do not have any additional details to share at this time, but will let you know what we learn as decisions are made.

Please continue your great work supporting all individuals and building an infrastructure for ABAWDs to be successful once participation requirements are employed. And please be safe in this current environment.
