Good morning WSSSC,

On behalf of the Council for Unions and Student Programs (CUSP), I am reaching out to share a bit of information about our council and to request your assistance in connecting with the best contact for our council on your campuses.

CUSP Membership
As a council housed under WSSSC, we want to ensure that all campuses are connected to our council and the resources we provide. Can you help us confirm who on your campus oversees student program areas? If you can simply forward this email to that staff member and Cc me on the email, I will take it from there to connect with them. You can find our most current membership list linked here: CUSP Membership<https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1XbdFzRPcBVt9xLDqQgLM7eLsAhPehtAcZweXEk6W24E/edit#gid=0>

What is CUSP and what are the benefits of being involved?
Our council advances and supports professional development of professionals working in student programs, student activities, student government, and student union management staff. We provide some of the following support resources for these professionals and students within the system:

  * Quarterly council meetings which include opportunities to connect with other professionals, day-long professional development, and an opportunity to be involved in statewide committee work
  * Engaged network of professions to assist staff with various topic areas related to our functional areas (student programs, activities, government, graduation, clubs/organizations, food pantries, etc.)
  * Annual student leadership conference (held at the beginning of September) for student leaders from across the system
  * State-wide student legislative advocacy (support of student leaders to advocate for legislative initiatives, setting the annual student legislative agenda, and the annual legislative advocacy day in Olympia in January (January 25th this year))

Thank you for your help with this request and for your continued support of CUSP professionals on your campus.

Best,
