The Washington State Board for Community and Technical Colleges (SBCTC) is seeking candidates to fill an administrative assistant<https://www.sbctc.edu/about/jobs/> vacancy for the Education Division. This position provides direct confidential support to the directors of student services and policy research, and to the exempt staff in both departments. The position interacts with all levels of state government including administrators, program managers, executive assistants, other state agencies, and the public.


This position reports to the Director of Student Services.

This position is headquartered in Olympia; however, hybrid work can be negotiated.


The annual salary is based upon the Classified Salary Schedule, Range 40 - Step A $40,512 to Step M $53,964.

Washington State has a generous benefit package including health, dental, life insurance, long-term disability, retirement, and two optional deferred compensation programs. The position is eligible to participate in Department of Retirement Systems<http://www.drs.wa.gov/> (DRS).
