Greg,

Do *not* go changing the material type label in Primo VE only in response to how this particular collection shows up in Primo!!!!

Please gather some more information about the MARC record for this collection and share it with us first. :)

The material type icon and label in the Primo VE brief results is driven by the material code in the MARC record.

To change the label for a material type, just go to Discovery / Labels, search the label descriptions for the one you want to change, and then update the label.

This will change the Primo VE brief results material type label for any record that has the associated material type in the MARC record.

You will need to edit individual records to change the material type for a specific record.

Here is the table of the out-of-the-box material type labels, and the material codes from the MARC fixed fields to which they correspond:

Purchase Order Lines - Type

MD Editor:
Do an All Titles search to find the Collection bib record
Select Edit
Position the cursor on the LDR field and select Edit >> Open Form Editor
Position the cursor on the 008 field and select Edit >> Open Form Editor

I don't really think the Electronic Collection Type and POL Type are having any effect, but you never know. ;)

Material type for collections is showing as archival material. We can't find any spot in Alma including the MARC editor as to where to change this. Any ideas?
