[Wactclc-alma] Overdue item not going to Lost

Laura,

When something goes to lost status is governed by the Overdue and Lost Notice Profiles not by the TOU or Fulfillment Rule.

If you created a new location and forgot to add it to the correct Lost profile, then nothing in that location will go into lost status.  Take a look in Alma Config at:

                Fulfillment Configuration -- [Institution] -- Physical Fulfillment -- Overdue and Lost Loan Profile -- [Profile]


It will be ok!

Hi, All -

We have an interesting issue.

An RTC staff member has three books checked out and overdue.  Two of those books transitioned to "Lost" status.  The third did not.


*         Problem item: 0088333p-Culturally responsiv-Renton Technical College Library-TEACHING & LEARNING Collection-370.117 HAMMOND 2015

*         System acting as expected with this item: 0068111H-How the ELL brain le-Renton Technical College Library-MAIN COLLECTION-428.24019 SOUSA 2011
I checked the problem book and the acting-as-expected book:


*         The Fulfillment Rule is the same.

*         The Term of Use is the same.

*         The Term of Use policies are the same.

*         The Locations are different, but there does not seem to be anything in the location description that I can find that would cause a variation in the TOUs.
I can't figure out why two items with the same item and material type, same TOU and policies, aren't acting in the same manner.
I've checked the WACTCLC Alma archives and the ExLibris archives without finding anything helpful.  Any thoughts would be appreciated.
