[RO] Handling of undetermined residency status

Hello Tracey,
The Running Start and Transitional Studies OAAP templates (for CTC colleges) do not prompt students to answer citizenship/residency questions; they're coded "UD."
One idea could be to create or revamp your local Residency Update document by adding the affidavit questions to the beginning of your supplemental document. You can determine their residency if they don't meet the affidavit requirements. Your Running Start advisor(s) can ensure students fill out your institution's supplemental form during orientation, whether a hard copy or an online link.

The query QCS_SR_RESIDENCY_OS_UD_POPSEL (Out of State and UD Residency) prompts for Institution and Max Term.
The above query is a great way to identify students with OS status for over a year. As a result, you can send the residency questionnaire to the student to apply for resident tuition. If your college processes applications in batch<https://ctclinkreferencecenter.ctclink.us/m/79544/l/1483068-9-2-batch-process-admissions-applications>, you can run the query QCS_AD_SAD_APPS.

[Residency Questionnaire]
If a student has been attending your college and was coded "OS" and has the SW29 waiver (if applicable), they would submit the Residency Questionnaire and supporting documentation. With that in mind, you can link the Residency Questionnaire by creating and sending a message in Message Center<https://ctclinkreferencecenter.ctclink.us/m/79552/l/1049874-9-2-message-center-sending-messages-in-batch> and providing steps for submission.

Good Evening All,

We're trying to figure out the best approach to ensure student's residency are determined prior to registering for classes. We send a weekly email communication, but don't see much return on it.

I'm interested in knowing who uses service indicators to block registration for students with undetermined residency status, or how are you handling these students in general.

Also, how are you handling residency for your Running Start students who take summer quarter?
