[LIBRARYDIR] [EXTERNAL] community borrowers

We have had community borrowers for over 25 years (my tenure) and have not run into this problem.

Also, adding that our community borrowers can access our databases while on campus. Typically, they don’t take advantage of that.

My librarian colleagues are worried about community members checking out books that our students need, and I get that, especially with the test prep manuals. Do any of you have the same concerns?

Hi Claire,
Thanks for asking this great question! I am interested in extending borrowing privileges to our community members and need options to take to my administration. Currently we provide computer lab access, WIFI, and free printing for community patrons.

Hi all,

I hope you are enjoying this return to grey spring!

We are reexamining our community borrowing policy. Do all of you allow community patrons to borrow books? Thanks in advance for your help!
