[Factc] 44 Million in Emergency Relief to WA CTCs from Governor Inslee

Community and technical college board set to allocate emergency relief funds



OLYMPIA, Wash. — The Washington State Board for Community and Technical Colleges<https://www.sbctc.edu/default.aspx> will hold a special meeting on Wednesday, Sept. 2 at 3:30 p.m. to discuss and act upon a recommended method for distributing $44 million in federal funds available through the Governors Emergency Education Relief (GEER) fund. The fund is a discretionary pool of funds provided to governors through the federal CARES Act. Governor Inslee elected to dedicate $44 million of his share to Washington’s 34 community and technical colleges.
