Registration will be opening soon for the Faculty and Staff of Color (FSOCC) 2020 Community Check in!





Date: October 29 & 30, 2020

Location: Virtual

Cost: Complimentary!



Please join us October 29 & 30, for the FSOCC 2020 Community Check In.  Our own Jan Yoshiwara, Executive Director, SBCTC will provide the keynote.  There will be salutations from Senator Randall, SBCTC College presidents, and Diversity Officers! A synopsis of workshops that will be offered:

  *   Knock Knock! Whose There? “The Accountability of the Black Male”
  *   "Crossing Borders, Building Bridges."
  *   Let Data Tell Your Story
  *   Breathe, Vent, Stretch, Repeat ....  A Moment of Release for Black Womxn
  *   Navigating Expectations: How to find peace in a world of expectations.”
  *   A Tool for Creating Equity: The TLTing our Work in Training, Programming and Running Meetings
  *   What About Me & My Misery?: Standing in Racial Solidarity with our Black Community



In addition, there will be intersectional groups breakout sessions:

  *   QTPOCs
  *   Ageism
  *   Sexism
  *   Disability/Ableism
  *   Spirituality
  *   Immigration/refugee status
  *   Indigeneity



During the lunchbreak, you will have an opportunity to energize with Elle Ross a passionate and motivated Holistic Fitness Coach, Author & Speaker!



The conference will end on day one with a virtual DJ party!



One day two, there will be affinity group breakout sessions.  You will have an opportunity to engage with peers across SBCTC & universities, from your selected group.
