Dear All,

We’ve all had at least one great teacher in our lives. Some of us have been fortunate enough to have more than one. If we could say what made that teacher so great, it would always have this as part of it: they reached us right where we needed to be reached.

Most of the time, this is actually entirely accidental!

The teacher’s way of teaching in the world lines up exactly with what we need to hear and how we need to hear it. And pow! Magic happens.

One of the powerful things about STAGES is it allows teachers and educators of all kinds to master this capacity. It isn’t just blind luck that allows your developmental perspective to match that of your students, but rather something that can be seen, understood, consciously chosen, and developed.

The ages of those we teach demand we meet them in different places.Children, of course, are quite different from middle schoolers, who are very different from high schoolers. And adults can be all over the spectrum. It seems like an impossible mess.

You can choose to take a specialty “module” in primary school, secondary school, or adult education (or all three).

Educators include parents, teachers, grandparents, coaches and therapists, entrepreneurs, public speakers, teachers of everything from yoga to meditation to piano, and even the mentoring we do with friends, colleagues, and peers.

STAGES for Educators: Development in Teaching & Learning<https://stagesinternational.us13.list-manage.com/track/click?u=fce24a2f6ac96c5941b7448d7&id=7c00762f63&e=5037278b64> is an accredited course that will teach participants developmental theory and practice, and the implications for supporting student and teacher development, curriculum development, the design of learning environments and activities, and working effectively across developmental differences within particular grade levels or courses.

This six-week foundation course will be followed by a three-week, consecutive application modules geared towards a specific educational level. The course price, which is only $349 to honor the work educators do for the greater good, includes the six-week foundation and one, three-week module, for nine weeks of total course time. (You can take all three additional modules if you’d like for a total of 15 weeks of course time — this is an option when you register for this course.)
