Hey, everyone!
We have a few spots left for the upcoming ATL Retreat in November at Rainbow Lodge ... please consider joining us!

Fall 2019 Assessment, Teaching, and Learning Retreat (ATL)
Special Topic: Supporting Faculty in Guided Pathways

November 14th & 15th, 2019
Rainbow Lodge

Our Purpose
As you know, the system is going “all in” on Guided Pathways, and there is additional funding for our colleges from the state legislature to support the both the work writ large across the system and at individual colleges. There is clear is clear recognition that, when it comes to engaging faculty, we have a collective learning curve.

Therefore, Bill and I have been asked to put together a plan for faculty engagement and faculty learning with respect to guided pathways—a process to support faculty as colleges across the system implement their GP reforms.

Obviously, this work intersects deeply with the on-going work and conversations of our Assessment, Teaching, and Learning Community of Practice (ATL CoP). Therefore, Bill and I would like to leverage the fall ATL Retreat to gather the collective wisdom of this group.

“I’m not interested in the exceptions, only the patterns. As a culture, we (the U.S.) focus too much on exceptions, often fooling ourselves into believing that because there are exceptions, the rule no longer exists or that it’s easily broken by anyone with enough willpower or hutzpah.”
