[ctcLinkfinaidsupport] UPDATE: COD 24-25 Updates Impacting Current Year Processing

Good Afternoon FA-

We are sending an update to the guidance sent out yesterday. The colleges that initially reported issues with processing current year crecmyop, crbn, and crpn files containing 5.0b schema have confirmed that despite the new schema and the message log indicating a warning message of “COD Lookup Table Info not found.  Tag: MIDDLENAME Record: SFA_COD_STUDENT”, the files do process as expected without editing the files.


You do not need to edit these files. For more details on this warning message, see the attached document.


REMINDER:  Please do not perform any Pell or Direct Loan processing (origination, disbursement, or load COD response files) for the 24-25 award year. The PRP from Oracle containing the 5.0b schema must be applied to Production before 24-25 COD processing can begin.

Good Morning FA-

On 4/21/24 COD (Common Origination and Disbursement) system functionality was implemented for the 24-25 award year. We have received reports from colleges that the COD implementation has impacted processing various current year response files such as crecmyop, crbn, and crpn.

Until the PRP containing the 24-25 award year 5.0b schema is released to Production (historically an early/mid June timeline), the above files can be edited to successfully load into ctcLink.  Instructions for editing files can be found in the attachment.

For those that are not comfortable with editing files, we have not heard of any reports with the crdl24op and craa24op files requiring updates to schema. These files can be loaded as usual and loan entrance counseling can be manually updated.
