[ctcLinkfinaidsupport] Prorate WCG based on FA Load Guide

Good Evening FA-

The new equations for Prorate WCG and CBS based on FA Load migrated to Production on 4/27/23. Attached is the WCG and CBS packaging guide that illustrates how to update packaging plans to use the new equations, as well as review and update the necessary set up.

For those that would like additional assistance in updating their packaging plans, please join us for one of the Drop-In Sessions below rather than submit a ticket.

Overview:

  *   Issue: Current WCG and CBS equation engines take the students maximum eligible award amount and evenly distributes across each term. WSAC guidance states that WCG and CBS awards must be prorated based on enrollment, therefore, FA staff must manually adjust awards for students attending less than full time
  *   Solution: Create new equation engines that calculate the one-term amount so that FA load (enrollment) is considered when determining the award amount for the term
