Hello Colleagues,
The Washington Student Experience Survey (WSES, or student needs survey) will be emailed to enrolled students in Washington public colleges and universities starting October 28 and continuing through November 22. (More information: https://wsac.wa.gov/student-supports#basic-needs-survey).
To have great student participation rates, your leadership is critical in two ways:
1. Raising awareness of all college staff to understand the purpose and benefits of the 2024 survey
2. Raising awareness and encouraging student participation in the survey in the week before and during the survey period.
To support your campus promotion, please use the new Awareness Promotion Resource<https://docs.google.com/document/d/14HddR0Cy2UJh20mOYmWo1xuXL_HI4NEyaKHJRE2PwMI/edit?usp=sharing>. It includes:
* Information you can share with campus staff about the survey.
* Strategies and resources to help you promote participation by students:
* An email template you can adapt
* Social media tag lines and images
* A student-facing webpage with QR code
* Some great promotion strategies from fellow colleges who have promoted the survey before.
* Contact links for more information about the survey.
If you have questions or additions you'd like to suggest to this resource - or any other questions about the survey - please contact Ami Magisos at Amim at wsac.wa.gov<mailto:Amim at wsac.wa.gov>.
Thank you,
Ami
