WSSSC,

SBCTC is monitoring the overall appropriations for this fiscal year, we have noticed that there are a number of appropriations that still have significant amounts that have not been expended. Here is a list of those appropriations/allocations that seemed especially underspent for this point in the fiscal year, with a few highlighted that may apply to your budgets specifically.

Please bear in mind that this is a aggregated list for the system, not the amounts for any individual college, and your college may not even have an allocation in some of these areas. You can check the QFS_GL_QA_210_OP_OVERSPENT_2 report for your institution to check your specific status. In addition, some of the issues around these allocations may be due to expense coding issues, so please work with your respective instruction offices to correct those issues. I know it's a heavy lift to recode expenses, but working on it now will be very helpful as all of you and SBCTC start thinking about year-end close.

If you have questions, please feel free to reach out to Stephanie Winner here in the Operating Budget department or have your instruction office reach out to the Workforce department at SBCTC for clarification.
