Good morning, I hope the weekend is off to a great start as well as 2021, all things considered.

Jan, I’m chairing the Search Committee for a very special recruitment at UW. The Associate Vice President for Student Success at the Office of Minority Affairs leads most of the UW’s major programs and services for URM students and has incredible impact in advancing UW’s commitment to DEI. This position was occupied for many years by Gabe Gallardo<https://magazine.washington.edu/feature/a-husky-to-his-absolute-core-the-legacy-of-dr-gabriel-gallardo/> who sadly passed away of cancer this past year. It’s an incredible position with a very large portfolio. It reports directly to the Vice President for OMA, Rickey Hall.

I’m hoping you may have an opportunity to share this position announcement within your network and/or refer me to someone on your team who may be well positioned to assist in elevating awareness of this important role.
