WSSSC Colleagues: in an effort to better connect re-entry students with colleges, SBCTC's corrections education person (Pat Siebert-Love) is requesting that colleges create a generic re-entry email address that can be included in a brochure or posted on a web page. Jon Kerr's email (below) provides further background. Please complete the information for your college on the Google doc here after you create the email address at your college:

Please be assured that the only information that will be public-facing is the email address itself. Pat will use the other information to create a listserv and to improve communication with college contacts.

Note: some of you already have a re-entry email address, if you are one of the colleges with a re-entry navigator. It would still be helpful to get that information on this Google doc so it is all in one place.

Greetings Joe,

In review: we need to ask all the college Presidents or Student Service VPIs to set up an email address on their campus that is checked by one of their staff (I would assume in Advising. For instance.  Reentry at centralia.edu<mailto:Reentry at centralia.edu>, reentry at tacome.edu<mailto:reentry at tacome.edu>, reenty at clark.edu<mailto:reenty at clark.edu>, reenty at olympic.edu<mailto:reenty at olympic.edu>).  This address would be a generic address for each college.  It would allow us to put the address on our education navigator brochure, which is provided to formerly incarcerated students by our education navigators and really anyone that has it and is making copies.  The colleges with DOC education navigators have already gone to this generic email address to better assist students.  Some of the more active social justice involved colleges have also gone to the generic address.  If all could go to this address, it would make all colleges more accessible to our students.
