Technology Tools to Support Guided Pathways

The SBCTC eLearning & Open Education group is holding a one-day Guided Pathways event on Tuesday, March 6, 2018 in Spokane, WA and a repeat of the same agenda on Wednesday, March 7, 2018 in Lakewood, WA. This event will look at technology and technology trends that are relevant for supporting the four pillars of Guided Pathways: Clarify the paths, Help students get on a path, Help students stay on the path, and Ensure students are learning.

Participants from all Washington Community and Technical Colleges (CTC's) are welcome, regardless of whether they are currently involved in, or funded by, Guided Pathways initiatives. There is no charge for the event. Lunch will be provided.

Most of the sessions will highlight successes and challenges involved in selecting, implementing, and using new or updated registration, advising, and progress-monitoring technologies and processes among Washington Guided Pathways colleges. There are several panel discussions and opportunities for audience interaction throughout the day.

Who should attend?
Members of WA Guided Pathways Cohort 1 and Cohort 2 teams.
College staff who are or may be impacted by changes in technology and processes to support registration, degree planning, advising, tutoring, and the provision of student support services.
Faculty interested in how technologies may affect the teaching relationship and how these technologies might support student learning.
College administrators who are responsible for planning and budgeting technology purchases and who set policy and direction for campus-wide technology implementation and process change.
Information and educational technology professionals who support, maintain, and implement technologies across campus.
