Placement 360: Implementing Multiple Measures
Moving Through Design to Practice

· Is your college looking for support to fully implement multiple measures?

· Do you wonder how to navigate the larger cultural shift away from placement as a static experience and towards a participatory, dynamic, and educational process?
What is Placement 360?
In partnership with expert practitioners Shannon Waits (Highline) and Marcie Sims (Green River), and funded by College Spark<http://www.collegespark.org/>, Placement 360 offers a year-long mentorship opportunity for 10 cross-functional campus teams as they implement multiple measures on a broad scale to effectively, efficiently and equitably place students.
Placement 360 will help your campus team

  *   Create (or strengthen) how you work collaboratively to ensure successful implementation of multiple measures on your campus;
  *   Find time, space, and generative structures so you can identify achievable goals and a realistic plan;
  * Provide scheduled support and accountability as you move through your plan to fully realize your campus goals.
This professional learning series promises the thing that money cannot buy — time and space to design, problem solve, and brainstorm with both experts who have successfully implemented multiple measures at their institutions and with other college teams who are working towards the same outcome of implementing a full portfolio of multiple measures.
Your cross-functional multiple measures implementation team will participate as a team in three events (including a summer Kick-off event at Semiahmoo<http://www.sbctc.edu/colleges-staff/programs-services/assessment-teaching-learning/placement-360-summer-institute.aspx> August 16th and 17th) and six mentor calls throughout 2017-2018.
How Much Does it Cost?
Thanks to a generous grant from College Spark, there is no registration fee for this year-long professional development opportunity.
What Do You Mean by Cross-Functional Team?
Your team should consist, ideally, of 4 to 6 people. Team make-up will vary, but we suggest a mix of faculty (English and math), staff (testing center staff, IT, advising) and a key administrator (dean or vice-president) who oversees placement.
How do I Register?
Visit our Placement 360 webpage!<http://www.sbctc.edu/colleges-staff/programs-services/assessment-teaching-learning/placement-360.aspx> Registration deadline is April 28th, 2017.
