[Wactclc-primo] Saved searches in Primo VE and RSS

John,

I tweaked your discovery_rss_url just a bit.

The tab you had specified disagreed with the scope. For tab of “Everything”, you needed a scope of “MyInst_and_CI”.

I re-ran your DVD RSS feed, and the URL for that feed is:

https://na02.alma.exlibrisgroup.com/rep/getFile?institution_code=01STATEWA_EVERETT&file=DVD_RSS_name&type=RSS


If you add that URL to the RSS Feed folder in Outlook, for example, you do get results, with links that take you to the video. (see screenshot below)

As generated, the Alma RSS feeds aren’t the greatest in the world (don’t include citation metadata, and link is labeled ‘view article’, which maybe could be changed in a label table in Alma).

But, the RSS feed URL works, is persistent (unlike the ones coming out of VE right now) and the links in the feed work.

Meanwhile, I opened an SF case regarding the Primo VE RSS issue you pointed out, as you will see (I cc’ed you).

Here’s a screenshot of the RSS feed results inside of Outlook:

Clicking the RSS button on a saved search creates a feed that has only the title and no results. The link seems to be truncated. Tried to configure the discovery_rss_url parameter according to the Knowledge Center. No sure what is missing. Any ideas?
