[Wactclc-primo] ALA Mid-winter in Seattle, anyone going?

I went to ALA Midwinter a long time ago (last time it was in Seattle, I think), and I found it to be not as relevant as ALA in June. It felt to me like it would be more useful to attend if you serve on ALA committees, because that's where many of them meet and conduct business. Keynote speakers this look good, but Robin DeAngelo is already speaking for free at Skagit Valley College the Friday after the conference, so I'm skipping it this year. I think vendor exhibits might be good to attend. George from Ebsco was able to get us free tickets for those...

I don’t have any specific recommendations, but others might.



I’ve only been to one ALA event, mid-winter in Seattle about 20 years ago.



I’m just going to the exhibit days, mainly just to talk to Ex Libris, and see what’s going on with other vendors.



There is an Ex Libris reception on Saturday at 5:30p. It is invite-only. If you’re interested in attending the Ex Libris event and didn’t receive an invite, let me know and I’ll try to request one for you.
