Lesley, when C1 converted to the new Primo UI, I had ExL set the 'switch to new UI' in the C1 PBOs, so that the new UI would be the default, and older permalinks would be redirected.

So, permalinks created prior to your switch to the new UI will be in the older format, but will be redirected.

Permalinks created since the switch will be in the newer format.

This fact only impacts C1 institutions, since C2 and C3 went live after the new Primo UI came out.

I would guess that the links changed with the new UI.  Cohort 3 has always been on the new UI, and I don't remember our URLs looking like anything other than the 2nd one.

I found this in documentation which indicates that the URLs did change but they anticipated and redirected the old ones:

Hi all,

I apologize if I missed something, but was there an announcement about changing the structure of the Primo permalink?

Last November, I grabbed this permalink for the book Hidden Figures: http://pierce-primo.hosted.exlibrisgroup.com/PIERCE:EVERYTHING:PIERCE_ALMA2119058240002818.

It still works, but now the permalink in the record looks like this: https://pierce-primo.hosted.exlibrisgroup.com/primo-explore/fulldisplay?docid=PIERCE_ALMA2119058240002818&context=L&vid=PIERCE&search_scope=EVERYTHING&tab=default_tab&lang=en_US.

I checked the UW and theirs looks the same with the extra search scope and language added on.

I was working on some website changes and our WebUpdates team asked, "All of the links seem to go the search page, then to the catalog entry, which means you see a couple of different pages load when you click the link. Is this the most direct link we can use? Or is there a way to link more directly to the catalog item so you skip the search page?"

PS: I tried just deleting everything after &context, but that doesn't work.
