Just FYI,

ADFS and LDAP are two different authentication mechanisms. So, the LDAP issue that affects Wenatchee does not impact the ADFS sites (Pierce, Renton).

For those sites, the issue is that the logout URL configured in Primo just isn’t correct for your campus’s ADFS set-up.

You can open an SF ticket for Primo and ask ExL about this. Be sure to provide them with credentials so they can test.

They’ll also likely ask you what the correct logout URL is for your ADFS implementation, which you will need to get from your IT group.

If you use ADFS for Alma authentication, and you do *not* get the error when you logout of Alma, then be sure to let them know in the ticket. Because then they can just pick up the correct logout URL from your Alma.

We’ve had the same issue for quite some time.  I opened a case on July 26th about it.  We have LDAP but I just got this response yesterday (it might shed some light, if you are also using cascading profiles?):

We have identified a defect when LDAP is used in Cascading Profiles with the New UI. It prevents successful sign out from occurring.

As an alternative, we could separate the Cascading login into Primary and Secondary active profiles. A Parallel Login Page will automatically display, presenting the user with a choice of Sign in options (Staff or Students)

The fix for the defect is currently planned to be included in the Primo November Release, where the login profiles can be cascaded once again.

Please let me know if you would like to have us set up the dual login page for you.

Hi Everyone!

When you sign out of Primo, where does it redirect you to? I’m trying to have users sent back to the library’s homepage once they log off of Primo, but they’re being sent to an error page instead. I’ve been told it has something to do with ADFS. If you’re using ADFS to authenticate, let me know where you’re able to redirect your logout landing page. I don’t want my users to see an error page when they log out.  >.<
