Ex Libris support was able to help me solve this. It involved going into the User Management section of Alma config, the option "User Name Display." I changed the public row's displayed name type from 'preferred' to 'main.' All first names are now showing on my end.

I can't say when this started but I'm noticing it en masse right now. For some set of users in Alma, but not EVERY user, the first name isn't showing in Alma brief results nor is it showing in Primo when a user logs in:

I can confirm that the first names ARE there on the Alma profile, they just aren't showing. Additionally, I can confirm too that Alma is searching on first names, as I searched for "daniel" and found myself on the 6th page, despite my first name now showing in the brief result.



Has anyone seen this before? I'll submit a ticket this afternoon about it, but I wanted to check in to see if this is just an issue I haven't heard about yet.
