[Wactclc-alma] Anyone else seeing name display issues in Alma/Primo?

I didn’t see your post to the list either.

But thanks for sharing your solution.

You may wish to set the value to “BOTH” rather than “MAIN”.

Otherwise, if a user has a preferred name in their record, they’ll only see the ‘official’ name.

If you select “both”, you’ll get something like this, where ‘wayde’ is my preferred first name:

Hey all,

Ex Libris support was able to help me solve this. It involved going into the User Management section of Alma config, the option "User Name Display." I changed the public row's displayed name type from 'preferred' to 'main.' All first names are now showing on my end.

I can confirm that the first names ARE there on the Alma profile, they just aren't showing. Additionally, I can confirm too that Alma is searching on first names, as I searched for "daniel" and found myself on the 6th page, despite my first name now showing in the brief result.

Has anyone seen this before? I'll submit a ticket this afternoon about it, but I wanted to check in to see if this is just an issue I haven't heard about yet.
