What is the AI Task Force
The purpose of the eLearning Council AI Task Force is to bring together college leaders in areas of pedagogy, governance, and operations to collaboratively support understanding and responsible use of Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) within the academic setting including how students, faculty, and staff use GenAI to learn, teach, and work. To be responsible, equitable, and inclusive in the implementation of AI means faculty, students, and staff ensure that the integration and utilization of artificial intelligence technologies adhere to principles of fairness, transparency, and inclusivity at all levels.
What is the AI Task Force Working On?
The Task Force has three workgroups that are each working on separate deliverables:
Policy
* Responsible Use
* Detection
* Disciplinary Process
Training
* Students
* Faculty
* Staff
Pedagogy
* Prep
* Teaching Assessments
* Examples
When Does the Task Force Meet?
We have set dates and times yet for the Fall, but remember to join our listserv as mentioned above to get the invite.
We Want to Know What You Are Doing At Your College
Thanks to the hard work of Guava at SBCTC and others, we are compling a Mapping of AI Within our SBCTC System <https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/18EzmgsBHOXQEToGMLnSe8ALfePwQ7t_SKCXHGb4sPjA/edit?gid=0#gid=0> . Please review the document and add or edit information about what your college is up to specific to AI.
Thanks, and we look forward to continuing this important work. We appreciate your time and talents and are grateful for you sharing them with us.
In Support and Collaboration,
Whitney Boswell & Kevin Bowersox-Johnson
