October is Cybersecurity Awareness Month

More systems (inside and outside the library) are moving from authorization to authentication

Authorization is what IP-based proxy services provide, authentication is like Okta, or other SAML, MFA services
  *
IP authorization was never an intended use for IP addresses and the clock is ticking on how long it remains supported
  *

State launched a competitive solicitation process to award Cooperative Purchasing Agrerements for RFID vendors

Category 2 is Library Collection Inventory Management Solution: services, hardware/equipment, software

Bid evaluation starts this week, DES will announce awards January 10
  *
Selected vendors will have competitive offers for state agencies
  *
