The fine is paid in the library, cleared from the patrons ALMA account, and then added into the total deposit for the day, then deposited into our fines account in ctcLink, not connected to a patron.

Current student patron fines are cleared in both ALMA and ctcLink but are not necessarily cashiered to the students ctcLink account unless they pay their fine at the cashier's office. Its not a great system, but we've worked with it for seven years.

I'd love to see a time when we have an integration of ctcLink student financials with ALMA, but that's likely a pie in the sky.

Our Business Office is trying to tell me there isn't any way in CTCLink to take fine and fees from community users?  They suggested we stop lending to public users. Uh, not going to happen.

How is everyone else handling this?
