Will Stuivenga here at WSL is checking with Gale, and we will provide an official response shortly as to whether you need to explicitly renew through the form or whether the renewal is automatic (unless a cancellation is filed).

Hello, Mike,
I've just received a renewal form from GALE for our database package. It was my understanding that the renewal would be automatic unless a cancellation form was submitted (I did not submit one). Should I submit the renewal form? Should I ignore it and wait for the invoice? Or?

This message is intended for all Washington libraries participating in the Washington State Library's Statewide Database Licensing subscription package from Gale Cengage. This week we officially launched the renewal for the upcoming July 1, 2022 through June 30, 2023 subscription period.
For academic, public, and special libraries, renewal is automatic. Which means that unless a library submits a cancellation form<https://www.sos.wa.gov/_assets/library/libraries/projects/sdl/Cancellation_Form.pdf> by Friday, April 15, 2022, that library's subscription will automatically be renewed.
