Under administrative direction from the Vice President of Student Services, the Associate Dean of Student Success & Workforce Transitions works with a dynamic team of counselors, workforce coordinators and other student services professionals to help provide holistic support structures for our students.

This position serves as a liaison between Spokane Community College (SCC) and the Workforce Development System as a representative of the WorkSource Affiliate at SCC. Responsibilities include supervising and supporting retention projects; activities for Veteran Services; WorkFirst; Worker Retraining; Opportunity Grant, Basic Food, Employment and Training; Passport to College; Career Services; Counseling, and the Social Services Manager. This position is also extensively involved with collaborating with staff, faculty, the public, and/or partner agencies to provide services to students, and with implementation of the college's Guided Pathways initiatives.

Under administrative direction of the Dean of Extended Learning & Workforce Initiatives, this position is responsible for the management and development of the ACT 2 and Parent Education programs, Workforce special projects, and Library Circulation Services to support the overall success of the Extended Learning Division at Spokane Community College (SCC). ACT 2 and Parent Education are robust, diverse, continuing education programs for community members throughout the Community Colleges of Spokane's (CCS) six-county service area.

ACT 2 specifically serves community members over the age of 50, while Parent Education serves families through parent involved preschool experiences and a variety of parenting education classes to meet the needs of the community. SCC's Library Circulations Services support the entire campus community with their library check out needs. This position will also assist the dean with Workforce special projects, including grant writing, grant tracking and supporting professional technical program advisory committees. The director will use project management skills and excellent interpersonal communication skills to support and enhance multiple departments within the Extended Learning Division.

Under administrative direction from the Vice President of Student Services, the Associate Dean of Dual Enrollment & K-12 Partnerships will have the opportunity to strengthen and grow Spokane Community College's (SCC) partnerships with our regional K-12 districts through existing and new initiatives. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, relationship-oriented environment to support student achievement and success. This position serves as a liaison and relationship builder between SCC and the various school districts throughout SCC's 10,000 square mile service area and plays a critical role in enhancing our college's effectiveness in that role.  The successful candidate for this position will need to be someone who believes in student success and can approach this work each day with an engaging personality, high energy, creative ideas, innovative perspectives, and a positive approach to problem solving.
